Economically active population

The economically active population of the public sector has increased over time. In 2001 it represented 13.4%, for 2013 the percentage increased to 15.1%

Both in urban and rural economically active population aged between 12 and 17 had a decrease. By 2013 this group represented 1.6% of the PEA.


The open unemployment has increased to reach the figure of 8.5% in 2013. This situation is maintained in both urban areas and rural, which represents 8.2% and 9% respectively.

The total occupation has not made major changes. For the period 2000-2013 the average unemployment corresponds to 53.2%.
